Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam and Police Chief Phil Keith today named Captain Stanley Fritz as the department's Reserve Officer of the Year.
Reserve Captain Fritz has been a member of the Reserve Unit For Twenty-three years. During 2003 Captain Fritz volunteered 379 hours of his time to the Knoxville Police Department Chief Keith said, "In his years of service to Knoxville, Captain Fritz has continuously been a 'go to guy' for the unit.
He has been giving of his time selflessly and without hesitation." Mayor Haslam said, "Captain Fritz is a fine example of the Tennessee volunteer spirit.He is a role model and has set an impressive standard to follow for all Reserve Officers andvolunteers." Captain Fritz will receive a signed certificate from the Mayor and Chief along with a free dinner from Kingston Alley Grill.
