Gay Street will be closed between Union Avenue and Clinch Avenue for several hours on Monday, August 27, for the opening ceremonies of the new Riviera Stadium 8 Theater. Southbound traffic on Gay will be detoured down to Central Street while northbound traffic will be directed west on Clinch Avenue and then to either Walnut or Henley Streets.The section of Gay will be closed at noon and will reopen at 9 p.m., or as soon as clean up crews have completed their tasks.
