Road Closures for Mardi Growl Parade and Event March 2

The following roads will be affected by the Mardi Growl event set for Saturday, March 2 in Downtown Knoxville:

Market St. between Clinch Ave. & Union Ave. CLOSED 10:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Union Ave between Walnut St. & Gay St. CLOSED 10:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

South Central Ave. between Union Ave. & Summit Hill Dr. CLOSED 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Commerce St. between State St. & S. Central Ave. CLOSED 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Temporary Road Closures for Parade:

Parade starts at 11:00 a.m. and should end by 12:00 p.m. PARADE BEGINS at the PetSafe Downtown Dog Park on the corner of Summit Hill Drive & Central Ave., continues through the Old City to Jackson Ave., then to Gay St., then to Clinch Ave., then to Market St. and then to Union Ave. PARADE ENDS at Market Square.

Temporary No Parking:

There will be temporary no parking on Central Ave, Jackson Ave., Gay St. between Summit Hill Dr. & Clinch Ave, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. There will be temporary no parking on Market St. & Union Ave. from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Cars CAN park on the 100 block of Gay St. during the parade.
