(West Knoxville) Middlebrook Pike Lane Closure [January 9] – KUB crews will close a short section of the westbound, curbside lane of Middlebrook Pike between Lonas Drive and Ed Shouse Drive on Saturday, January 9, from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m., as work is performed on the natural gas distribution system in the area. One westbound lane and both eastbound lanes will remain opened. Flagmen will be on site to assist with traffic control.  
 
(East Knoxville) McConnell Street Lane Closure [January 11-22] – KUB and its contractor will reduce a short section of McConnell Street to one alternating lane of traffic between Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue and Kenner Avenue from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily, Monday-Friday, January 11-22, as work is performed on the natural gas distribution system in the area. The southbound lane will be closed, while the northbound lane remains open and is used to alternate traffic. Access to all residences and business will be maintained. All lanes will be open outside of work hours, and on weekends. 

Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures, including flagmen, will be in place at this location to assist motorists traveling in the area. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use extreme caution and expect temporary delays in this area.
