The Knoxville Utilities Board has announced a complete week-long closure of a portion of Neyland Greenway from 6 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, through 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, for pathway surface repairs.
There will be no detour routes for greenway users in the area during the closure.
The section of the greenway being closed will span east of the intersection of the Neyland and Third Creek greenways, cross the Neyland Drive bridge over Third Creek, and end just beyond the stretch of greenway that runs under the bridge.
In addition, an adjacent parking area will also be closed next week while the surface repairs are underway.
