The City of Knoxville held its annual July Jamboree on Friday, July 22, 2005 at Inskip Park to celebrate the end of another season with the City's Summer Playground Program.
The Summer Playground Program is held at various recreation centers under the City Parks and Recreation Division. During the program this year, children enjoyed various sports and games, canoeing trips on the Tennessee River, and field trips to the Knoxville Arts and Fine Crafts Center.
The July Jamboree gave the children from all of the recreation centers a chance to get together one last time and enjoy a carnival that entails face painting, moon walks, dunking booths, swimming, dancing, a cookout, and much more.
