City of Knoxville offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25th in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Waste Connections, the city's household garbage collector, will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24 and Sunday, Nov. 27.
Collections on Friday, Nov. 25 will be from routes usually run on Thursday; collections on Saturday, Nov. 26 will be from routes usually run on Friday.
There will be no downtown trash collections on Thursday or Saturday; however, there will be downtown trash collections on Friday and on Sunday morning from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m.
The city's recycling centers will be open over the holiday; however, there will be no Goodwill attendants on Thanksgiving Day. The city's Solid Waste Management Facility, located at 1033 Elm Street, will be closed Thursday through Sunday.
