A public meeting will be held Tuesday, Dec. 13 to review the most recent design plans for the Knoxville Station Transit Center.
Registration will open at 5 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Small Assembly Room of the City County Building, 400 Main St. The design team will make a presentation and attendees will be able to view the plans, ask questions and make comments. Comment cards will also be available.
Knoxville Station will be located on a block bounded by State Street, Commerce Avenue, S. Central Street and Union Avenue, and will include a pedestrian connection to Gay Street. The station will house passenger waiting and transfer facilities for buses, and provide links to the trolley system, shuttles and taxi services.
