      City of Knoxville New Year's Day Holiday Schedule

      City of Knoxville offices will be closed on Monday, January 1st in observance of New Year's Day. Waste Connections, the city's household garbage collector, will be closed on Sunday, December 31st.

      There will be no downtown trash collections on Sunday, December 31st.The city's recycling centers will remain open through the holiday.The city's Solid Waste Management Facility, located at 1033 Elm Street will be open on Friday, December 30th, but will be closed December 30 - January 1st.
