The Friends of Adair Park will host a community festival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at the City of Knoxville's Adair Park.
The festivities are celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the park's completion and the formation of Friends of Adair Park, an organization dedicated to the beautification and maintenance of the 39-acre park, which features a natural pond, butterfly gardens, a 1.1-mile greenway, a community building, two shelters, and a playground.
Youth activities at the event, dubbed "Adair Fest" will include face painting, a clown, fire engine, police dog and an emergency helicopter. Refreshments will also be served. For more information on the festival or becoming a member of Friends of Adair Park, contact Larry Cox at 865-524-3026.
