More than 3,500 street rods roll into town May 5-7 for the 32nd annual NSRA Street Rod Nationals South at the City's Chilhowee Park.
A street rod is a modernized vintage automobile that was originally manufactured prior to 1949. The event combines a car show with more than 130 commercial exhibits, a vintage car swap meet, arts and crafts, food, games and live entertainment for an entertaining experience for the whole family.
"Annually, it's the largest automotive event in the region," said Jerry Kennedy, Event Director for the NSRA. "This is such a unique show and many of the cars that come to Knoxville are premiered at this event."
All activities during the show are open to the public. Show hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets are on sale only at the Chilhowee Park gates during the event, and admission is $12 per adult, $3 per child (6-12 years). Children under five are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
