Knoxville City Council is scheduled to consider on April 25 adopting the South Waterfront Vision Plan, created to serve as a framework for future development along three miles of waterfront.
The Vision Plan stems from an extensive public input process that included three workshops, a website devoted to the topic, and many written comments submitted to a consulting team lead by Hargreaves and Associates.
"The Vision Plan is an important foundation for long-term improvements to a key area of our," Mayor Bill Haslam said. "The next step is to begin work on an Action Plan that will guide us on what to do next and how to pay for it." City Council is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. April 25 in the Large Assembly Room of the City County Building.
