Friends of the Knox County Public Library are pleased to announce their annual Used Book Sale on March 3-9 in the Knoxville Convention and Exposition Center, lower level of the Holiday Inn at the World's Fair Site. Over 14,000 square feet of books, cds, and movies will be available -- most for $2 or less. A section for rare books and first editions is also being featured. A special Members Only Preview will be held on Sunday, March 2; membership to the Friends will be available at the door.
This year's sale will be bigger and better than ever. While the joy of rummaging through endless stacks of books makes for a fun scavenger hunt, book lovers won't have to work as hard to find their treasures. Volunteers have organized the books in a more detailed manner. New this year are tables for biographies and the grouping of popular mysteries by author. The sorting of literary works and areas of non-fiction is also more specialized.
Another new feature of this year's book sale is Educator Discount Days. On March 4 & 5, educators and care providers will receive a discount: buy five, get one free. On March 6 & 7 all patrons will receive half off of their purchase, and Saturday, March 8 is "Bag Day."
Proceeds from the sale benefit programs at the Knox County Public Library.
The schedule is as follows:
Members Only Preview: Sunday, March 2, 1 - 5 pm
