Library Offers New Interactive Children's Storybook

Posted: 06/18/2008
Knox County Public Library is pleased to offer Tumblebooks - a fun and interactive library of animated, talking story books for preschoolers, beginner readers and older independent readers.

Children can read along as they listen, or they can read at their own pace. TumbleBooks take existing storybooks and add animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic (e-book) storybook.

Some books feature "Word Help" to assist children in sounding out words, as well as book-related puzzles and games.

Many titles are also available in Spanish and French. Older readers can choose from a growing collection of classics such as "Black Beauty," "Alice in Wonderland," and "Anne of Green Gables."

The TumbleBook Library also includes a collection of full length, unabridged, streaming audio books.

The TumbleBook Library is available at all library locations or online at www.knoxlib.org with a Knox County Public Library card and pin.
