Mayor Bill Haslam will lead a Walking Tour in the Westwood Neighborhood on August 14 at 5:30 p.m.
Walking Tours are a convenient way for residents to let the Mayor know about issues in their neighborhood and tell him how city government is responding to their needs. "The Walking Tour is an opportunity for me to meet and hear from residents in the places they value most - their homes and neighborhoods," Mayor Haslam said. Department heads or representatives from many city departments will also take part in the walk.
The walk will begin in the parking lot behind the Knoxville Adaptive Education Center at 5719 Kingston Pike (it's next to Bearden Elementary School) and end at the nearby Westwood Park on Greenbrier Drive.
This will be about a 20-30 minute walk through the Westwood neighborhood with a question and answer session to follow. In the event of inclement weather we'll meet at the United Methodist Church at 4407 Sutherland Avenue.
