Come to Blount Mansion on Friday, September 11 from 11:30-1:30 for a Constitution Day living history event! Students in Dr. Patricia Brake-Rutenbergs U.S. history class at the Tennessee Governor's Academy will be portraying William Blount, his wife Mary Grainger Blount, the Blount children, slaves and Cherokee Indians. 
 
There will be festivities on the grounds and a chance for you to enjoy the beautiful Blount Mansion riverfront gardens and learn more about our Constitution and our communitys history.

$7.00 gets you a delicious lunch, including a deli sandwich of your choice, chips and a drink. All proceeds will go to support preservations efforts at Blount Mansion, Knoxvilles only National Historic Landmark.

The Tennessee Governor's Academy for Mathematics and Science is a two-year residential high school program for Tennessee's best and brightest juniors and seniors. The academy, administered by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, provides students with a unique array of education opportunities designed to prepare them for careers in science, technology, mathematics and engineering.
