The 84th Veterans Day Parade filled Gay Street on Wednesday to honor and celebrate our Nation's Veterans.
Mayor Haslam joined local dignitaries, war veterans, high school bands, police and fire forces, military and ROTC groups in the celebration.
The parade is held each year and is dedicated to the men and women who have served honorably in the United States Armed Forces.
The parade started at 10:45 a.m. at the Knoxville Colisuem, and then ran along Church Street, right onto Gay Street, and then right onto Summit Hill.
At 11:00 a.m. all parade participants halted and faced west while honors were rendered at the reviewing stand for veterans of all our country's wars.
