Brown Bag-Green Book Series June 16

Posted: 06/15/2010
The Brown Bag-Green Book series returns for its second summer tomorrow June 16 at 12 noon with Harvey Abouelata, vice president of Efficient Energy of Tennessee, leading a discussion of Amanda Little's book, 'Power Trip: From Oil Wells to Solar Cells - Our Ride to the Renewable Future.'

The event will be in the East Tennessee History Center Auditorium at 601 South Gay Street

The Brown Bag - Green Book series is a Lunch and Learn Program sponsored by the Knox County Public Library and the City of Knoxville.

The events are held on the second Wednesday of each month and the programs feature a prominent Knoxvillian discussing a timely 'green book.'

The public is invited to join in the conversation each month but you don't have to have read the book to attend or participate in the discussion. Attendees may bring their own lunch from home or pick up something at a downtown restaurant.

For more information about the Brown Bag - Green Book series or Wednesday's event please call Emily Ellis at 215-8763.
