The City of Knoxville is hosting a breakfast for companies interested in learning more about upcoming projects and opportunities to do business with the city during the next year.
This free information event will be from 7:30 a.m. until 11 a.m., June 17, at the Foundry on the Fair Site, 747 World's Fair Park Drive.
Senior directors from several city departments will be on hand to briefly discuss projects their departments expect to commence in the next 12 months and other presentations will include:
An overview of city projects expected during the next year including general information about the anticipated date the work will be going out for bid and qualifications, etc. A review of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Funds, sometimes referred to as Stimulus Funds the city has received and what the city is doing with those funds. The terms of contracting and subcontracting opportunities with the city and how best to compete for those jobs.
The City of Knoxville encourages owners/managers of small and mid-sized businesses to attend.
