Beginning August 15 through September 30, the Knoxville Fire Department will participate in a joint effort with Knox County CAC Local Heat Relief program to provide drop off locations so fans may be distributed to people in need during these hottest days of summer.
Knoxville/Knox County Community Action Committee has provided fans to people in need for over twenty years in the Knoxville community. Beginning August 15th it will now be easier for donations to be made by providing multiple drop off locations. Area fire stations will be accepting new fans between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. any day of the week.
