The Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) has completed an intensive Short-Range Transit Development planning effort aimed at improving the transit service throughout the KAT service network. The KAT Transit Development Plan set priorities and proposed efficient route system changes which support the opening of the new LEED-certified Knoxville Station Transit Center located in downtown Knoxville on Church Avenue. Meetings will be conducted in each quadrant of the KAT service area, and participation by all transportation stakeholders, riders and members of the public is encouraged.
The public meetings will include a brief presentation by KAT staff. Verbal comments related to the proposed route system changes will be received during the meetings.
