New plays and new writers are the lifeblood of a strong and vibrant theater. Since 1998, Tennessee Stage Company has produced The New Play Festival as a way to spotlight and nurture new playwrights and plays. This year, Knox County Public Library is partnering with TSC for a series of table readings of the plays to be performed during the festival.
Come to the Knox County Library to hear some of Knoxville's finest actors perform the following plays:
The Last Waffle House in America by Leslie Agron
According to playwright Leslie Agron there are no Waffle House's in California, so as you go west across America you come, literally, to the last Waffle House somewhere in Arizona. This slice of life play takes place in and around the last Waffle House in America.
