KUB and its contractor have extended the closure of all lanes of thru traffic on a section of Bernard Avenue between Marion Street and Lee Street until July 19, 2011, as construction continues on a wastewater storage facility and resurfacing of the roadway is completed. This closure will be in effect around the clock for the duration of construction activities. Access to area businesses will remain open during this period.
Some utility-related closures may extend beyond the scheduled times, depending on conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at this location to assist motorists traveling in the area. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use extreme caution and expect temporary delays in this area.
