We continue to make good progress, but there isn't much bridge demolition to report this week.

The phasing has reached a point where the next step is to re-route the traffic on Neyland Drive so that the demo work can continue above.

The contractor is concentrating on building the crossover in the median of Neyland Drive so both traffic directions can be moved to the westbound side (one lane in each direction) while the contractor works on the bridge over the eastbound side.

The actual traffic shift should take place sometime next week (est. April 8). In the meantime, look for temporary lane closures on Neyland Drive in both directions during non-peak hours to finish the crossover work.

Final waterline tie-ins are being made in the Chapman/Blount intersection and is expected to be complete by the end of next week, April 8. Please watch for traffic delays in this area.
