Henley Bridge Week 15 Progress

Posted: 04/14/2011
Bridge demolition continues in the middle arch span over the navigation channel.

Reconstruction of the north and south approach spans is progressing at a steady pace.

About 5 pm Thursday, April 14 look for traffic delays in the Chapman/Blount intersection. The utility contractor and KUB will be making the final waterline tie-in. This work will probably continue well into the night until it is complete.

Construction on the median crossover on Neyland Drive continues but has been hampered by weather delays. Asphalt paving has been scheduled twice, but has been called off due to inclement conditions. It is once again scheduled for Friday so please look for lane closures and slow-downs through this area. The actual traffic shift is expected to take place sometime around April 20.

If you have questions concerning the bridge or need maps or brochures, please feel free to stop by the Henley Community Center Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or call 865-577-6988.
