Knoxville Station One Year Anniversary

Posted: 08/08/2011
Please join KAT in the celebration of the one-year anniversary of the John J. Duncan Jr. Knoxville Station Transit Center .

A special Open House will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the station located at 301 Church Ave., Knoxville, TN 37915. The event is open to the public.

There will be a celebratory cake, a transit retrospective on display in the training room and other activities to help celebrate the first year in the new facility.

Since its opening, Knoxville Station has served thousands, providing not only convenient bus service, but also community meeting space, historical and art exhibits, the Station Café and the many other amenities of this unique LEED facility.

KAT believes it is important to remember how far we've come and continue to celebrate all the great things that Knoxville Station has to offer the citizens of Knoxville.

Trolley service from downtown will be available for the event on the new Vol Line and Downtown Loop trolleys, which begin operating on August 15.
