The Knoxville Utilities Board will be hosting an orientation tour of its major facilities for newly elected City officials. The tour will be offered on two separate dates to accommodate Council members' schedules:8 a.m. until noon, Friday, November 18; or 8 a.m. until noon Thursday, December 8.
The tour will begin at KUB's Hoskins Center at 4505 Middlebrook Pike.
Mayor Daniel Brown, Mayor-Elect Madeline Rogero, current and newly-elected City Council members are invited. KUB Commissioners are also invited to attend. KUB President and Chief Executive Officer Mintha Roach and KUB Chief Operating Officer Bill Elmore will facilitate the tours. This is an opportunity for Council members to learn more about KUB operations.
This is a bus tour that will visit some of KUB's major operating facilities. Members of the media can cover the entire trip or make arrangements to be present with the group at a specific KUB facility. For more information about covering this event please call the KUB Media line at 594-7988.
