As of 4:30 this morning, KUB's restoration efforts from last week's storms are substantially complete. With all the widespread damage, out of an abundance of caution, KUB is asking any customers still without power to contact us immediately at 524-2911. In addition, any customer who has damage to their electric service equipment should contact a qualified electrician to make repairs. Once those repairs are complete KUB can reconnect the customer's service.

Now that the power is back on, KUB will be transitioning into routine operations over the next few days. We ask for customers' continued patience regarding routine service work, as construction crews continue to focus on system repairs leftover from the storm. These repairs should not impact customers' service, but are needed to restore the system to its normal operating status. These will continue throughout the week and may continue to impact more routine service requests, such as repairs to streetlights and private lights.

Also, KUB would also like to remind customers that dig-ins to buried utilities can hurt people and damage property. As customers prepare to restore property from possible storm damage they may need to Call 811 three days before digging to have buried utility lines located and marked. It's a free service to the customer.
