KUB's scheduled closure of the eastbound curbside lane on a section of Neyland Drive between Lake Loudoun Boulevard and Leinard Lane for water system work has been postponed until Thursday, December 8, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., due to weather.
One eastbound lane and both westbound lanes of Neyland Drive will remain open while this work is completed.
Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use extreme caution and expect temporary delays in these areas.
Effective July 1, Tennessee's Move Over Law requires motorists approaching a utility vehicle with flashing lights to move over if safe to do so, creating an empty lane buffer. When changing lanes is not possible, motorists must reduce speed.
KUB is a municipal utility serving Knox and parts of seven adjacent counties and provides electric, gas, water, and wastewater services to more than 439,000 customers. For more information please visit
