Mayor Brown hosted a luncheon for interns from the City of Knoxville's "Summer in the City" high school intern program. Each student also received a special certificate of appreciation from the Mayor.
These students worked for four weeks from July 5 - 29 where they were assigned to a specific department. The interns worked approximately 10 hours per week and met weekly for an hour to discuss topics like resume writing, interviewing, business etiquette, and more.

Rebecca Caylor
Rebecca spent her four weeks working in the 311 Call Center under the supervision of Russ Jensen. She will be a Senior at Fulton High.
Shelby Frazier
Shelby worked in Fire Inspections under the supervision of Vanda Dalton. She will be a Senior at Fulton High.
Julius Martin
Julius worked in City Court under the supervision of Valerie Coleman. He will be a Senior at Berea Christian.
Jaquan Smith
Jaquan worked in Community Relations under the supervision of Avice Reid. He will be a Senior at Fulton High.
