The Knoxville-Knox County CAC AmeriCorps is hosting a Third Creek Greenway Clean-Up from noon until 3 p.m., Saturday, March 26.

Volunteers should meet in Tyson Park at noon at the large pavilion near the restrooms to sign in and receive information. All tools will be provided and Volunteers should wear appropriate clothing for work and bring a water bottle.

Anyone who volunteers for over two hours will receive a small prize while supplies last. Tasks will vary from picking up litter and painting to removing invasive species.
 
If it is raining heavily enough to be uncomfortable the event will take place Sunday, March 27th from 12:00-3:00 pm.

Knoxville has a wonderful greenway system and the Knoxville-Knox County Community Action Committee is pleased to offer this opportunity to residents interested in helping take care of it. Greenways provide many benefits for communities and individuals including maintaining and improving health, economic growth, natural resource conservation, alternative transportation, recreation and community-building.
