The evaluation committee reviewing destination marketing proposals for the City of Knoxville and Knox County has selected Visit Knoxville as the apparent successful proposer.
A joint Request for Proposals was released in July, and seven proposals were received in August. Based on the work of the evaluation committee, the City and County will now begin contract negotiations with Visit Knoxville.
Upon successful negotiations, separate contracts will be presented to both City Council and County Commission for approval.
Visit Knoxville is currently contracted with the City and County to provide destination marketing services; those contracts expire Oct. 31.
