Some familiar faces will appear at Pilot locations across Knox County Monday thru Wednesday. Nearly 70 elected officials and media personalities will help Pilot support the United Way of Greater Knoxville during the annual Pilot Celebrity Pumpers event.
These "celebrities" will be pumping gas for customers Monday through Wednesday, Oct. 1-3.
You can see Mayor Madeline Rogero pumping gas on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at the Pilot on 4603 Chapman Highway from 4 to 5 p.m.
Some members of the City Council will also be Celebrity Pumpers:
Brenda Palmer - Oct. 1 at 5800 Oak Ridge Hwy., from 10 to 11 a.m.
Duane Grieve - Oct. 2 at 2218 Cumberland Ave. from 7 to 8 a.m.
Marshall Stair - Oct. 2 at Western Ave. from 8 to 9 a.m.
George Wallace - Oct. 3 at 7686 Northshore Dr. from 8 to 9 a.m.
Mark Campen - Oct. 3 at 4800 Broadway from 8 to 9 a.m.
Mayor Daniel Brown - Oct. 3 at 3004 E. Magnolia Ave. from 11 to 12 noon
During the three-day event, Pilot donates to the United Way of Greater Knoxville 5 cents for every gallon of gasoline sold and 10 cents for every dollar of in-store sales at all Knox County locations.
