Spring is in the air, and City recreation leagues are getting ready to go. Registration for C adult softball leagues provided by Knoxville Parks and Recreation opens today, and tennis league signups are currently ongoing for play to begin in mid-March.
For those that prefer to get a little dirty when they recreate, the City has openings for teams in three adult slow-pitch softball leagues: Men's, Men's 50+ and Co-Ed. Team entry fees are $400 for leagues with games played two nights per week. Cost is $250 for leagues with games played one night per week.
Team slots fill quickly, and registration ends March 16. The first three teams to sign up in each league will receive a $10 discount. Information on these leagues may be found at
www.eteamz.com/cokathletics or call 865-215-1418.
If your game is tennis, City leagues have plenty to offer all ages and skill levels. Singles and Doubles adult tennis leagues are only $30 per person, for six-week sessions.
Whether you have never stepped on a court or just need to brush up on your game, tennis lessons are available.
All lessons are held in 10-week sessions:
• $50 per person for 10 30-minute lessons • $100 per person for 10 1 hour lessons • $150 per person for 10 1½ hour lessons
The City is anticipating offering even more tennis programming when the new West Hills Clubhouse opens this summer.
