Hundreds of dogs decked in finery and their owners participated in the annual Mardi Growl parade on Saturday, March 3. Mayor Rogero was the parade's Grand Marshal.
The day began with a parade starting from the PetSafe Downtown Dog Park, running along Gay Street and ending at Market Square.
The event also held several contests ranging from Best Costume to Dog/Owner Look Alike.
Several vendors with services and products, music by the Old City Buskers, face painting, balloon animals and happy dogs filled Market Square after the parade.
All proceeds benefitted the Young-Wiliams Animal Shelter.
