The Knox County Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission will hold a Knoxville Civil War Gateway Opening Reception on Thursday, April 26 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the corner of Gay Street and Hill Ave.
A 21st century informational and technological window into our 19th century experience will be revealed.
Preview the Civil War Downtown Walking tour of locations, people and events that make up our traumatic past from 1861-1865.
Newly created maps, brochures and graphics will also be introduced.
