Knoxville Parks and Recreation and PetSafe will hold the third annual "Doggie Dip" from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8th. Dog owners will be allowed to bring their four-legged family members for a swim before gates are closed for the season at Inskip Pool, located at 4204 Bruhin Road.
"This event is a great way to wrap up the summer pool season for the City," said Joe Walsh, Director of Knoxville Parks and Recreation.
Cost is $5 per dog with a maximum of two dogs per owner and no charge for the owner attending. If additional family members want to join the event, the cost is $2 per person.
The Young Williams Animal Center, several veterinarians and various rescue groups have been invited to host booths at this event.
Lifeguards will be on-site during the Doggie Dip. Parks and Recreation officials say the event will take place rain or shine.
Leashes, up-to-date vaccinations and tags are required for all dogs. Doggie Dip registration forms must be filled out and submitted for each dog to gain entry.
