May 20, 2013 - KUB will have the following road closures from May 21-23 for utility work.

Kingston Pike Lane Closure [May 21] - KUB and its contractor will close the eastbound curbside lane on a short section of Kingston Pike between Winston Road and North Winston Road from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, as work is completed on the natural gas distribution system. One eastbound lane and both westbound lanes will remain open on this section of Kingston Pike while work is completed.

Asheville Highway Lane Closure [May 21-23] - KUB and its contractor will close the eastbound turn lane of Asheville Highway at the intersection of East Governor John Sevier Highway from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. beginning Tuesday, May 21, and lasting through Thursday, May 23, as work is completed on the natural gas distribution system. Both eastbound and westbound lanes on this section of Asheville Highway will remain open, as well as all lanes of East Governor John Sevier Highway, while work is completed.

Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place to assist motorists traveling in this area. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use extreme caution and expect temporary delays in this area.
