An information session on The Peace Corps will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, August 22, at Lawson McGhee Public Library.
The Peace Corps, an organization sponsored by the U.S. Government that sends young volunteers to developing nations, offers opportunities in more than 139 countries. The information session will allow potential candidates to learn about volunteer experiences, have questions answered, and gain tips about the application process.
Online applications will be accepted until August 30th for programs departing before September 2014.
