Weather Affects Tonight's Public Meetings, Rec Centers

Due to the inclement weather, the City of Knoxville has canceled several public meetings tonight including:

The Board of Zoning Appeals that was scheduled for 4 p.m. in the Small Assembly Room The City Council workshop on crematory regulations scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The Public Property Naming Committee scheduled for 5 p.m. And the State Street Garage meeting for 5 p.m.

The City of Knoxville recreation centers opened early today to children who are registered in the after-school program until parents can pick them up. The recreation centers will close at 6 p.m. All open gym and basketball activities have been canceled for tonight.
