By order of Mayor Madeline Rogero, flags at the City County Building and all City of Knoxville facilities are being flown at half-staff in honor of former Knoxville Mayor Kyle Testerman.
Mayor Testerman passed away on Saturday, April 11, at the age of 80. He served two terms as Mayor, from 1972-75 and 1984-87.
The flags will remain at half-staff through Tuesday, April 21.
A Celebration of Life for Mayor Testerman is planned that day at 4 p.m. at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church, 9132 Kingston Pike.
