KUB Lane Closures for Utility Maintenance

June 18, 2014 - KUB will close the westbound, curbside lane on a short section of Kingston Pike between Cheshire Drive and Buckingham Drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, as work is completed on the natural gas distribution system in this area. One westbound lane, the center turn lane, and both eastbound lanes will remain open on this section of Kingston Pike while work is completed. Access to businesses along this route will be provided.

KUB will close the northbound, curbside lane on a short section of South Seventeenth Street between Cumberland Avenue and White Avenue from 10 p.m. Thursday, June 19, until 6 a.m. Friday, June 20, as work is completed on the water distribution system in this area. One northbound lane and both southbound lanes will remain open.

KUB will close the westbound lane on a short section of West Jackson Avenue between North Gay Street and North Broadway from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, as work is completed on the water distribution system in the area. The eastbound lane will remain open and be used to alternate traffic.

KUB will close all lanes on a section of West Jackson Avenue between North Gay Street and North Broadway starting at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, June 19, until 6 a.m. Friday, June 20, as work is completed on the natural gas distribution system in the area. Detour routes include North Broadway, West Depot Avenue, and North Gay Street.

Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use extreme caution and expect temporary delays in these areas.
