The City of Knoxville has received the final report from an Urban Land Institute advisory panel that visited the city last October to study several public properties in and around downtown.
The report,
available here online, details the ULI panel's thoughts and recommendations on five sites:
* West Jackson Avenue (the former McClung Warehouses properties);
* World's Fair Park;
* The Henley Street corridor;
* The former State Supreme Court building on Henley Street;
* The Civic Auditorium and Coliseum.
City staff are reviewing the report. There will be a public meeting on March 30, at 5:30 p.m at the East Tennessee History Center to discuss next steps. In the meantime, anyone wishing to comment on or react to the report can email the City's Office of Redevelopment at
