More than 60 local and regional juried artists will be exhibiting their original works across several blocks in downtown Knoxville throughout the popular three-day Dogwood Arts Festival on Market Square event.
Two streets will be closed, starting Thursday morning, to create the lively street fair. The closures, from 8 a.m. Thursday, April 16, to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 19:
• Union Avenue between Walnut and Gay streets
• Market Street between Union and Clinch avenues
In addition, anticipate temporary no-parking zones on Market Street, Union Avenue, Clinch Avenue and South Gay Street (between Clinch and Union) beginning at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, April 16.
Dogwood Arts Festival on Market Square includes works in mixed media, clay, drawing/pastels, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, painting, photography, sculpture and wood, as well as performing arts, culinary arts and an expanded children's station. Hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
