On Tuesday night, Jan. 27, the City's Community Development Department staff presented preliminary findings from surveys of more than 900 stakeholders - residents and neighborhood leaders, researchers and planners, advocates with nonprofit agencies, and others - gathered over about a three-month period.
The public meeting on the 2015-19 Five-Year Consolidated Plan was held at the John T. O'Connor Center, 611 Winona St.
The Community Development Department is still seeking public input for its Five-Year Consolidated Plan, which identifies community needs and priorities. The plan outlines the strategies the City will use to meet those priorities over the next five years with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds for Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) funds and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG).
