The playground at World's Fair Park will be closed from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, during the memorial ceremony for Lt. Alexander Bonnyman Jr. at the East Tennessee Veterans Memorial.
The fountains in the park will also be reduced to a low level during the observance.
Lt. Bonnyman was killed in the Pacific during World War II. His remains were finally recovered this spring from the Pacific island of Tarawa.
