While City offices will be closed for the Independence Day holiday on Monday, July 4, Waste Connections will run regularly scheduled residential garbage and recycling routes.
Similarly, downtown trash and recycling will be collected on its regular schedule throughout the holiday weekend.
City recycling centers also will be open during regular operating hours this weekend, although there will not be a Goodwill attendant available to collect household donations on Monday, July 4.
Additionally, the City’s Solid Waste Management Facility, located at 1033 Elm St., will be closed Saturday, July 2, and Monday, July 4.
Amnesty Saturday – the first Saturday of each month, when no fees are charged to City residents using the facility – will be held at the Solid Waste Management Facility on Saturday, July 9.
