KUB and its contractor will implement traffic control measures on Clinch and Locust from 6 a.m., Wednesday, May 11, through 6 p.m., Friday, May 13, as work continues on the Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade project.

Closures include the following: 

• Clinch Avenue – Road closure between Henley Street and Locust Street. Alternate routes include Locust Street and W. Church Avenue. 

• Locust Street – Lane closure between Clinch Avenue and W. Church Avenue. One lane of southbound traffic will be maintained. 

A section of sidewalk on the southwest corner of the Clinch Avenue/Locust Street intersection will also be closed during this time frame. Pedestrians and motorists are advised to us caution in this area.  Please see attached map for more detailed traffic information. 
  
Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution and expect temporary delays in these areas.
