Intermittent Lane Closures on Cherokee Trail Nov. 15-30, 2016

Posted: 11/14/2016
Beginning Tuesday, November 15, and lasting through Wednesday, November 30, KUB crews will implement intermittent lane closures on the following streets near Cherokee Trail in order to perform work on the water distribution system in the area:

• Edington Road (between Cherokee Trail and Avenue A)
• Avenue A (between Edington Road and Cleage Street)
• Cleage Street (between Avenue A and Avenue C)
• Avenue C (from Avenue A to the road’s eastern end)
• Ingersoll Avenue (from W Martin Mill Pike to the road’s western end)
• W Martin Mill Pike (from Ingersoll Avenue to W Young High Pike)
• W Young High Pike (from W Martin Mill Pike to Chapman Highway)

Work will occur 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily, Monday- Friday, and lane closures will not occur on every street listed above at the same time.

Crews will move from location to location as work progresses.

All lanes will reopen to traffic outside of listed work hours and on weekends.

Flaggers and signs will be on site to assist with traffic control, and local traffic access to driveways will be maintained.

Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution and expect temporary delays in these areas. More information on this and other KUB construction projects can be found at www.kub.org.
