Due to utility work, KUB will have lane closures on Henley St, Main St., and Neyland Drive.
(Downtown Knoxville) Henley Street and Main Street Lane Closures [June 3-5] – KUB crews have implemented lane closures as indicated below effective immediately though 6 p.m. Sunday, June 5, as work is performed on the electric distribution system in the area:
• Henley Street – northbound, inside lane (closest to median) closed between W. Hill Avenue and Cumberland Avenue. Access to Main Street is maintained, and two northbound lanes remain open on Henley Street.
• Main Street – one eastbound lane closed. One lane of eastbound traffic is maintained.
Follow up advisories will be issued as necessary. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays in this area.
(Downtown Knoxville) Neyland Drive Intermittent Lane Closures [Rescheduled June 2-4] – KUB contract crews will implement intermittent lane closures on westbound Neyland Drive between the Second Creek Greenway Parking area and Jacob Drive nightly between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., starting Thursday night, June 2, through Saturday morning, June 4, as work is performed on the wastewater collection system in the area. One westbound lane and both eastbound lanes will remain open during this time frame.
Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution and expect temporary delays in these areas.
